The house rule says the Ark is kept by a maiden who knows no stain, and she meant to keep it. Eight scenes, one night: the explanations she gave for her own body are peeled off one layer at a time. She was not broken. She simply can no longer explain her own body to herself.

Temperament　Diligent, and she defends herself with words. Good at enduring for other people, bad at choosing anything for herself. When she is cornered, she looks for an explanation first.

The bio-tank keeps the symbiont that recycles the ship’s nutrients. Mio opened the sampling port alone to top it up. The tentacles never hurt her — they only rewrite, a little at a time, the “confirmed” she has on record with MIRA, the ship’s AI. She believed stopping was a matter of letting go. The stop valve is out of reach.

Temperament　She holds herself together by keeping records. Feelings get converted into data and swallowed. She can see the danger and still follow the procedure.

She made the booking drunk. The room they gave her was the last one at the back: a table, a wall of equipment, and a mirror that shows her everything. The excuses — “just once”, “it’s a massage”, “a machine did it”, “it was only VR”, “I was pushed into it” — come off one at a time across eight scenes of the same day. She stood in front of the mirror. She ticked the box. She fastened the last piece herself.

Temperament　Diligent, and unable to refuse. She piles up excuses to stay on her own side — then books the room and ticks the box herself.
