The Adjustment Room
She picked the course before she walked in. Which is why this is not a record of what was done to her. It is a record of what she asked for, and what came back out of the room wearing her voice.

A work of adult fiction. Characters are fictional adults aged 18 or over; no real person is depicted. Images are AI-generated and finished by hand. Prices and discounts are whatever the sales page says.
What happens
One white room, no window, lighting that does not change. Stage one is fingers and a small device, and the pain stays inside what a person can absorb. She talks about the price, confirms the course, asks what time it is. Everything is civil.
From stage two the room starts adding: restraints, a collar and a leash that decides how far she can move, a wall of sex toys that gets used in a specific order rather than an inventive one. Stage three is verbal — the words get shorter in her mouth, one syllable at a time, until a whole page of her dialogue fits into a single ahegao.
By stage four the machinery is doing the work on a fixed interval, and nothing she says changes the interval. Stage five is closer to shibari than to furniture. She does not pick a course at the end. Not picking is the thing that was on the menu all along.
Body modification here is not surgical. It is sensitivity: what the room has taught her body to answer to, how much fluid is on the sheet by stage four, and the fact that the set never cuts away from the squirting.
What's inside
- 121 pages, full color, five stages, one day.
- Restraints: wrist cuffs, collar and leash, fixed belts.
- Machine training from stage four onward.
- Sex toys used in sequence, with the sequence visible on the page.
- Record format: a chart cover, numbered pages, the stage printed in the margin.
- Two dialogue variants on the same art; the second is the one with fewer words in it.
- POV throughout. Mosaic censorship per platform rules; AI-generated, hand-finished.
Who it's for
Readers who look for machine training and want the schedule, not the hardware. People who like a restrained body on the page — the specific problem of what to do with the hands. Anyone who wants to watch a vocabulary degrade across 121 pages rather than a single scene.
Also for readers who have noticed that the phrase she chose it does more work than any threat ever could, and who want a book that leans on that instead of explaining it. And for anyone who prefers the slave dynamic handled as paperwork — a course chosen, a box ticked — rather than as a threat.
Why the stages matter more than the devices
The machines in this set are boring on purpose. They do not have personalities, they do not react, and they do not care whether she is enjoying herself. What they have is a timetable. That is the whole horror, and it is also the whole appeal: a device that will keep going at the same interval while a person comes apart is doing something no partner in fiction can do, because a partner would stop.
So the five stages are built as an arpeggio of what she can still say. At stage one she can negotiate. At stage two she can complain. At stage three she can say one word. At stage four the word is not a word. At stage five there is no stage six, and the book ends on the paperwork, because the paperwork is the only thing in the room that never changed.
The other thing the stages buy us is pacing. 121 pages is a long set, and length is only an asset if each block of pages has its own rule. Every stage adds one item to the room — a cuff, a collar, a toy, a machine — and takes one thing out of her. By the last act the room is full and she is empty, and the reader can count both.
